FAE-MTHThe MTH/HP multi-task and the STABI/FRS are FAE’s latest atttachments

FAE, which makes attachments for skid steers and tractors, is launching two new pieces of equipment into the construction sector: the heavy-duty multi-task MTH/ HP and two version of the STABI/FRS soil stabiliser.

The MTH/HP is an updated version of previous multi-task machines, designed for use with the newer, higher-powered tractors up to 500 HP. “You can crush stone and stabilise soil with the same machine, which is unique in this market,” said FAE sales director Davide Baratta. “That brings advantages in terms of cost efficiency and time because you don’t need to change heads to do the different tasks.”

Updates on the MTH/HP include an improved kinematic system which adjusts the position of the rotor in relation to the field. This is

a system which allows the rotor only to penetrate into the ground, using less power and speeding up the process, according to Baratta.

The STABI/FRS and STABI/FRS/HP for use with tractors up to 500 HP are designed purely for soil stabilisation. They are simpler than the multi-task units which means they are more cost effective. “They don’t offer the variable geometry with the kinematic system,” said Baratta. “The rotor is fixed. They are ideal for people who just want to do soil stabilisation.”

FAE will be visiting existing customers in Europe to showcase its new MTH/HP. “We want to visit customers who are using the old model to let them try the new machine and see the differences,” said Baratta. Around 30% of its sales are in the construction sector and 70% in the agriculture sector where FAE’s business first began.
