Kobelco’s SK850LC-10 heavy hydraulic excavator arrives in Europe

Here it comes to Europe for the first time, Kobelco’s proven SK850LC-8 heavy hydraulic excavator, but a much updated version – the SK850LC-10.

Europe’s version will be Stage 5 engine compliant, a 380kW engine to move around the 82 tonne excavator with its 4.4m arm. Electronic engine control and eco-mode operation will aid efficiency, says the company.

A wide-access cab aids smooth entry and exit for the operator. Also, the front window features one large piece of glass without a centre pillar on the right side for a wide, unobstructed view. Only five have been built and full production is expected to start shortly.
