Layher’s lighter Steel Deck LW is easier to handle

Layher is displaying Steel Deck LW, a scaffolding deck designed to save weight and ensure better handling.

The company said the deck could save up to 10% in weight, so for example a 500metre façade scaffold could be around 500kg lighter. The system cuts scaffolding construction workload, improves ergonomics, reduces transport costs and increases assembly capacity.

According to Layher, the advantages of its steel decks are retained, including space-saving stacking, a high level of slip resistance during access and the possibility of use up to load class 6. The Steel Deck LW can be combined with steel decks of previous generations during storage, transport and assembly.
