ACS begins deployment of Multipark Evolution parking system
Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) has started to deploy the
latest version of its Multipark Evolution parking system in France and it
should be available for use in the rest of Europe by around late April, says
the company.
Multipark Version 8 contains several new features compared
to its predecessors.
These include a cellphone pay application at the exit pay
terminal; as a motorist inserts his ticket the terminal displays the fee and
ask him to present his cellphone, which can be used as a credit card utilising
near-field communication technology.
The latest version also has multi-modal applications, with
the pay terminals able to combine accepting fees with selling a ticket that
combines the parking fee with a train or bus ticket.
Car park operators can also obtain historic reports and
statistics through a web access application.
