VTTI – the business of saving lives

First published at ITS America - June 7, 2019

Advanced driver-assistance systems and vehicle automation – which will save lives – is part of in-depth research being done by the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute.

VTTI says that it is one of the largest transportation institutes in the US as measured by most metrics and is at ITS America to showcase it progress and its collaboration with a variety of OEMs and auto manufacturers.

VTTI researchers are on hand to discuss the institute’s testing capabilities and partnership opportunities, such as the Virginia Connected Corridor where the Virginia Department of Transport and VTTI are conducting early stage testing and deployment of connected vehicle infrastructure and applications.

Also, the Automated Mobility Partnership within VTTI brings together industry leaders to promote the development of tools, techniques and data resources to support the rapid advancement of automated-vehicle deployment.
