Ertico-Sign-001Cheers! The heads of the three ITS organisations celebrate their MoU

On Wednesday Ertico – ITS Europe, ITS America and ITS Asia-Pacific signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to push the rapid development of seamless, integrated transport systems and services across the three regions. With Asia-Pacific, North America and Europe facing similar challenges in mobility on demand (MOD)/MaaS developments, a structured cooperation on new mobility services is a significant development. This MoU is seen as a starting point for strengthening international cooperation and creating basis for regular information exchange.

The MoU promotes the development of common policies, standards, governance, business models and technologies in the MOD/MaaS industry.

It also strengthens the interoperability and scalability of solutions and services.

With this in mind, the three regions agree to co-organise dedicated MOD/MaaS market conferences in conjunction with annual ITS World Congresses, as well as with other stakeholder delegations.

These will leverage global synergies and to better understand the developments of new business models and their applications in different environments.
