Another OIML certification for Intercomp

First published in Intertraffic Innovation News - July 1, 2020

INTERCOMPIntercomp’s LS630-WIM Scales have achieved OIML R134 Class 10F certification at low speeds, operating as a pair of deployable scales for wheel, axle, and gross vehicle weights (GVW). These weigh-in-motion (WIM) scales add another tool for operators to use certified technology for weighing vehicles.

Based on the highly accurate and stable strain gauge load sensing technology incorporated into its products, this new OIML certification for Intercomp is in addition to the company’s other OIML certified vehicle weighing techniques. The LS630-WIM low-speed WIM scale joins the LS-WIM axle scale, and WIM Strip Sensors as OIML R134 WIM certified products. Operators now have scales and sensors from a single manufacturer that include deployable low-speed scales, in-ground low-speed axle scales and Strip Sensors for use from low speeds up to mainline free-flow weighing.

LS630-WIM scales are field deployable, with the entire system fitting in the back of a vehicle. The scales use RFX wireless communication, enabling cable-free operation to various indicators, or are open for integration into software systems. This patented strain gauge technology in Intercomp’s certified products is optimised for WIM applications, actively compensating for a wider range of temperature variables to provide responsive, stable and repeatable weighing in a variety of operating environments and weather conditions.
