CATT Lab sees RITIS expansion

The CATT Lab’s web-based transportation analytics platform – RITIS – is expanding rapidly across the US, the organisation says. The number of states using it has gone from 15 to 37 over the last two years, a rise which is driven by contracts to provide data and analytics for initiatives including a federally-mandated performance measurement programme, CATT Lab suggests. Marketed as a low-cost alternative to ATSPM, RITIS is used to collect and analyse performance monitoring data and can “significantly reduce” agencies’ dependence on outside consultants. Figures can be used to determine which infrastructure projects to fund, but CATT Lab is concerned that awareness needs raising, saying that “a huge number of suddenly-eligible users across these 37 states don’t even know they qualify for RITIS”.
