Econolite and Eberle Design (EDI) have teamed up to simplify signal performance measures with the new DA-500E, a fully-hardened in-cabinet data and communications-rich platform designed to integrate within legacy controllers and cabinets. It features cellular and edge computer data aggregating, which integrates with a wide range of controllers. The DA-500E also enables powerful connectivity and data analytics with Econolite’s industry-leading Centracs SPM to provide the critical link between Centracs SPM and older controllers and/or closed-loop systems.

The DA-500E transforms legacy or remote traffic cabinets into immersive intersection traffic data reporting units, enables connectivity, and hosts CV apps at the edge. Centracs SPM data analytics are now available to older or previously non-connected controllers enabling proactive traffic management with the ease of a cloud-based platform. Centracs SPM and DA-500E can communicate via built-in cellular modems or use existing IP infrastructure.

The device also enables older controllers, even from other manufacturers, to be Centracs SPM-ready by leveraging its ability to access the SDLC output. It provides the Purdue Coordination Diagram and the Indiana High-Resolution Data Set directly to Centracs SPM, enabling automated signal performance measures.
