Econolite introduces ZincBlue2

ZincBlue2, a next-generation intelligent digital nickel-zinc battery-based uninterruptable power supply (UPS) solution, adds to Econolite’s comprehensive suite of battery backup system (BBS) offerings. ZincBlue2 delivers even more capabilities to maintain vital signalised operations, including the IT systems for advanced smart intersections. It features a more compact and lightweight nickel-zinc battery design and provides significantly longer run times. ZincBlue2 also provides more intelligence with extensive event logging and simplified user interface with the industry’s first Navigation Dial for operation and configuration. The user interface also supports browser-based remote system management and update capabilities, as well as email alert messaging.

Just like the original Econolite ZincBlue, ZincBlue2 is an easy-to-install, self-maintained solution with superior performance. It allows agencies to leverage the unused space in a traffic cabinet to slide ZinceBlue2 inbetween the outer wall and traffic control components, so there is no need for an additional enclosure. ZincBlue2 provides an environmentally-conscious alternative to traditional lead-acid BBS, supporting green initiatives.
