Kistler goes compact with KiTraffic

First published at ITS America - June 5, 2019

Kistler reports its new Lineas Compact sensors are installed below the road surface and are protected by a special epoxy grout for robustness and durability.

The sensors are part of Kistler’s KiTraffic Statistics solution, an integrated prewired system that allows an overview of road usage and vehicle weight patterns.

The Lineas Quartz Sensor is an industry-proven Weigh in Motion (WIM) solution delivering consistently reliable results, according to the company. It requires no routine maintenance for more than 20 years. Kistler now offers the world’s first sub-surface quartz sensor, the Lineas Compact and WIM Data Logger to provide what the company claims is the most sustainable solution for automated real-time traffic data collection at a budget price. Combined with the Kistler WIM Data Logger, KiTraffic Statistics is easily integrated into an overall system for a customised solution.
