ParsonsParsons is making cities more livable using advanced solutions that result in smarter mobility; improved public safety, infrastructure, environment, energy; and intelligent data exchange. As the company will demonstrate at the ITS Annual Meeting, its new iNet Transform platform delivers these advanced smart-city functions through a range of key capabilities.

For instance, for smart city monitoring, iNet interfaces with a variety of new smart-city sensors, including smart lighting, air-quality monitoring, video analytics, public safety, and wireless communication devices.

For an integrated data environment, iNet stores and standardises the exchange of all information contained within the environment, in real time. All smart-city data is housed within the environment and exchanged in real time using standard C2C interfaces.

Meanwhile, for big data analytics, iNet is a framework for ingesting large volumes of transportation and other smart-city data and storing it in a cloud- and/or premise-based big data environment. This solution includes integrated big data analytics tools to enable the ad hoc reporting of the big data environment information.

iNet solutions now support several connected-vehicle dynamic mobility applications, including speed harmonisation, queue warning, weather alerting, and motorist assist warnings. iNet now incorporates artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities, such as voice-driven assistants and machine learning–based traffic and event prediction, and its edge computing capability now addresses the need for more roadside processing and automation by delivering intelligence at the edge for improved efficiency and cost.
