Ped detect live!

Visitors to the MH Corbin booth are experiencing a live Pedestrian Detection Demonstration using Connect:ITS System, a simple to use, scalable low-power roadside information system. It uses data from both MH Corbin and popular third party sensors to allow algorithms to compute changing roadway conditions in real time. Data is then sorted and distributed to an existing messaging network of HAR systems, dynamic message signs and flashing beacon systems.

Additional outputs can also be used to send data to in-vehicle warning systems via DSRC. Potential applications for the CONNECT:ITS include bridge deck icing, low visibility, curve warning, over-height vehicle detection and wrong-way detection. The CONNECT:ITS System can also be scaled up or down for a customised solution based on application needs.
