Chemtronics’ V2X starting point
First published at ITS World Congress - October 21, 2019
Chemtronics is at the ITS Korea Pavilion showing new on-board units for V2X (DSRC/C-V2X) applications, which the company says can compete with those made by global market leaders.
On show are two products intended to serve as the starting point in Chemtronics’ development map in the industry of the future.
The DSRC+LTE Hybrid on-board unit (OBU), operates in frequency bands from 5850-5925 MHz, with transmit power of +23dBm (max) and receiver sensitivity of -97dBm. It supports 2Tx 2RX antenna support and complies with IEEE 802.11p – 2010 and IEEE 1609.2/3/4 – 2016 standards.
Chemtronics’ DSRC+C-V2X Hybrid OBU has more varied receiver sensitivity and conforms to (C-V2X) 3GPP Rel.14, in addition to the two IEEE standards of the other unit.
