Mobility X A touch-screen function provides one-touch access for up to six destinations.A partnership between ITSWC organisers and start-up company Mobility X sees Congress delegates able to try Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) for free using Singapore’s new Zipster app and card.

Zipster’s trip planning app is free to download (via App Store or Google Play) and covers the train, metro and bus companies along with privately-owned services such as taxis or car, bike, scooter and even bus-sharing. MobilityX, the company behind Zipster, has also pre-loaded several tactile ‘one-touch’ destinations (including the convention centre and several tourist attractions) while leaving room for delegates to add destinations such as their hotel.

There is also a pre-loaded (S$8) Zipster card in the delegate pack and while that might not sound much, MobilityX CEO Colin Lim says a journey to the airport from the convention centre on public transport costs less than S$2. Regular users can set up accounts enabling trips to be paid for using the app’s digital wallet.

Mobility X is now looking to export the app and having experienced MaaS and Zipster for themselves, delegates can get their questions answered at the company’s stand in the SG Pavilion.
