Mobility is the heartbeat of life: Continental, with wholly owned subsidiary Quantum Inventions, is bringing this theme to life with its solutions for vehicles, fleets and cities.

Future urban mobility concepts will improve the quality of life in cities. To demonstrate this, for the first time ever, Continental is displaying a last-mile delivery robot concept using its driverless demo vehicle, the CUbE (Continental Urban mobility Experience), as the “mothership”.

Quantum Inventions’ Corriere LM, which can operate independently in an urban environment, will deliver and collect parcels, with an app-based interface to customers.

Continental is also showcasing products tailored to address urban mobility challenges, such as smart car key-sharing and intelligent navigation to improve driver experience; fleet mobility solutions to enhance fleet utilisation; and traffic management systems to enable smarter cities.

Crash-free driving will be the norm in the future.

At its demonstration site, the company is showcasing the use of V2X technologies for improved communication and safety on the road.

The demonstration leverages V2X to form ad-hoc networks of connected vehicles that alert other road users about collision risks. It also detects driver fatigue events and communicates this to nearby vehicles to increase awareness and minimise accidents.
