Denso and Derq are using the 2019 World Congress to announce they are joining forces to develop a smart mobility ecosystem for the town of Dublin, Ohio that aims to manage traffic and eliminate road accidents.

This smart mobility ecosystem will be used to test and implement infrastructure technologies, create value-added mobility services, and gather previously untapped data to increase road and pedestrian safety, and reduce travel times in the town. As part of this ecosystem, Derq has installed its edge computing platform to capture data from traffic cameras, sensors and connected infrastructure; to power a combination of active safety measures to predict and prevent accidents in real time; and for analytic applications.

Denso and Derq believe these applications will reveal deep insights into how road users move and behave on the streets, to help city planners ensure their road networks are as safe and efficient as possible.
