Faurecia highlights emissions monitoring

Germany-headquartered Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies is here to highlight a new product it has developed through a contract from the city of Singapore and the National Environment Agency to test bed real-time emission monitoring of a fleet of DHL commercial vehicles.

A complete on-board monitoring system, adapted for multiple vehicle types, was fitted to DHL vehicles in June and July, 2019.

Through a telematics device and digital solution, data is now displayed on the company’s web dashboard in real time. Faurecia is showcasing a mock-up of this innovative system, as well as a simulation of the on-line dashboard.

The solution allows cities and fleet operators to monitor emissions in real time, enabling them to take steps to reduce their environmental impact.

Faurecia says the system can make a difference by managing road mobility according to emissions of each vehicle, and so drive effective improvements to air quality.
