SkedGo co-founder John Nuutinen has been announced as CEO of the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) specialist, taking over from co-founder Claus von Hessberg, who will now focus on his role as chairman.

The company says this is part of a “strategic restructure” as SkedGo moves from start-up to “a scale-up phase”.

SkedGo is also launching a new software development kit – alongside its existing application programming interface – which it says will allow clients to add multi- and mixed-modal capabilities to their existing apps. The Australian company was founded 10 years ago, when von Hessberg saw that there was no coordination for his football team’s travel arrangements to matches.

“That led me to visualise a calendar which includes travel between scheduled events, making it possible to coordinate between attendees,” he explains.
