Smart Microwave Sensors (Smartmicro) is in Singapore to present its latest generation of radar sensors for smart cities.

These include the new UMRR-11 Type 132, featuring 4D/UHD at 77GHz for even higher accuracy, with ultra-high resolution making it ideal for mobile speed enforcement applications.

Also being unveiled at the Congress is its latest model TRUGRD multifunctional sensor, with its highest resolution performance making it highly suitable for intersection management.

It includes a combination of stop bar and advance detection in a single unit – a common feature to all the company’s sensors – as well as incorporating 4D/UHD technology for unrivalled sensor performance.

In addition, the company’s multifunctional radar sensors can also be used for counting and classification, such as on highways. Their “forward-firing” technology ensures each object is detected, tracked and classified accordingly.

Smartmicro also claims to offer best-in-class technology for OEM integrated enforcement systems, with its ability to detect up to 256 objects on up to 10 lanes simultaneously.
