A highlight of ST Engineering’s booth is the launch of its STROBO autonomous mobility solutions, consisting of buses, vehicle management systems and software.

STROBO Bus Series 12 is a single-deck, fully electric low-floor bus designed for mass transport service for intra- and inter-town travels, while its STROBO Bus Series 7 is a single-deck shuttle designed for small-capacity and on-demand service.

STROBO Buses’ on-board navigation capabilities allow them to navigate autonomously in urban mixed-traffic environments under dry and moderate rain conditions, while being easy to recharge and maintain.

In addition to its STROBO buses, the company is featuring other elements of its suite of smart mobility capabilities across autonomous transport, intelligent transport systems, smart rail, training, and maintenance and repair operations that are shaping the future of mobility.

They include ST Engineering’s Smart Junction Management System, a next generation traffic control system that leverages advanced technologies, including AI, big data analytics and machine-learning capabilities to achieve more efficient and optimised traffic control.

Capabilities including support for Vehicle to Everything (V2X) communications for autonomous vehicles, truck platooning and “green-wave traffic priority system” for emergency vehicles.

Smart Junction also enables road authorities to better manage road usage patterns to reduce delay or stops at traffic junctions, optimise traffic network capacity and provide a better travel experience for drivers and commuters.

The company is also launching its Auto Rider system at the Gardens by the Bay Flower Dome, and hosting demonstrations of its autonomous vehicles at the Floating Platform and Sentosa.
