Caterpillar’s three versatile excavators

Three next-generation excavators from Caterpillar offer versatility, better fuel economy and lower maintenance costs, says the manufacturer.
The M318 is a wheeled excavator that can be equipped with the sophisticated Cat Grade, E-Fence and Payload options. The firm claims that the machine offers up to 10% lower maintenance costs, longer service intervals and an improvement in fuel economy of up to 10%. According to Caterpillar, the improvements help to boost operator efficiency for the 18tonne class machine by 45%.
Meanwhile the Cat 313 GC excavator benefits from a new, larger cab that has an ergonomic layout, fuel-saving features, longer maintenance intervals and simplified maintenance points. The firm claims that the 313 GC offers reliability as well as low running costs/hour, with power from a diesel delivering 54.4kW.
Caterpillar’s 315 excavator delivers high performance in a compact design and benefits from the latest technology packages to boost operator efficiency and productivity. It has a large, ergonomic cab that provides a comfortable working environment. Power comes from a diesel delivering 80.5kW.
All three machines meet the Tier 4 Final/Stage V emissions requirements and can be equipped with Caterpillar’s wide range of worksite attachments to handle a wide array of duties.
