Hyundai has expanded its excavator offering with the addition of the HX210A L model to the range. The new machine comes in addition to the existing HX220 model, which remains in the line-up. Justin Thompson from the firm said of the new machine: “We think it’s going to be a great entry to the 20tonne class.”
Power comes from a four cylinder, 4.5litre diesel delivering 127kW, which meets Tier 4 Final/Stage V emissions requirements. The HX210A L is a lower cost offering than the existing HX220, which features the larger 6.7litre diesel. Thompson commented, “It’s lighter and it’s more fuel efficient.”
Other benefits include the new bucket teeth, which are said to improve digging capabilities as well as offering long wear life. A key safety feature is the 360° vision package, with two cameras mounted at the rear of the machine for moving object detection.
