The construction industry is being hit hard with serious problems including a shortage of machine operators and the need to maximise both finish quality and working productivity.

But John Deere is offering advanced solutions on even its compact machines, such as the new 333G tracked loader that help address these issues. CEO John May said, “We believe technology is the key to help our customers solve their most pressing problems.”

Machine control technologies and telematics tools are delivering performance gains for the construction sector and John Deere says that the sophisticated SmartGrade system significantly boosts productivity for its latest compact tracked loader, the 333G.

The firm says that its SmartGrade 333G Compact Track Loader can increase productivity as it can carry out grading tasks more quickly and with fewer passes, as well as less reworking compared with machines not equipped with grade technology. As the control package is integrated into the machine, there are no vulnerable masts and cables, so the system is more rugged and less at risk from site damage.

Another technology package for the 333G is the new DozerMode system, which allows the joystick controls to provide crawler dozer operation. The system works best with the John Deere six-way dozer blade attachment for cutting a grade and spreading materials. This blade does not require tools to change between other attachments and enables accurate cutting or finishing light materials in tight spaces.
