Bosch Rexroth is showing a new compact electric motor combined with a new two-speed gearbox.

The company has developed the eGFT 8000 series electric motor with outputs ranging from 75-180kW; the motor’s diameter remains the same, while its length can be scaled up to provide the differing outputs.

This is combined with the new two-speed GFE280 gearbox that can handle input speeds of up to 14,000rpm and has an output of 630Nm. The gearbox has an internal clutch and is fully centralised with the electric motor. It is optimised for a 26-tonne truck’s load cycle, with production planned for 2020.
