Trimble expands Earthworks range with grader package
First published in bauma Preview - April 4, 2019
Trimble is expanding its range of Earthworks Grade Control tools with an addition aimed at use with graders. This new Earthworks 1.7 version offers expanded capabilities designed to reduce cost/tonne and boost working efficiency.
The Earthworks for Motor Graders package is a GNSS-based, 3D grade control solution designed to make fine grading more accurate, faster and easier than before. This system utilises the same inertial measurement units (IMUs) already used on the firm’s dozer and excavator packages. These proven and rugged IMUs ensure high working accuracy, allowing a grader operator to run the machine in third gear while delivering a fine finish, vastly improving productivity at the same time as giving quality working.
