Exact formwork positioning with bauma Innovation Award winner DokaXact
First published at bauma - April 10, 2019
Precision formwork positioning is the name of the game at DokaXact, which picked up third place in the bauma innovation awards for its manufacturer, Doka.
DokaXact, for vertical structures, is the first interactive sensor-based solution for accurately positioning of wall formwork elements such as high-rise concrete cores and bridge pillars.
Surveyors and site-crews can quickly and precisely align wall formwork that is used with climbing systems. It consists of multiple sensors attached to the formwork and which communicate wirelessly with a central processing unit.
In case of deviations, an alert function enables the readjustment of the formwork before pouring starts.
Data can be accessed with a smartphone with positioning accuracy down to 2mm, according to Doka. It monitors the forming, reinforcing and pouring of concrete within predefined structural tolerances.
The result is up to 75% saving on the cost of surveying services for formwork positioning, said Doka.
