Hidromek-Hicon The new Hicon 7 W 100% electric compact excavator

In response to demand for zero emission machines that can work indoors, underground and close to people in urban areas, Hidromek is launching its Hicon 7 W, an all-electric compact excavator.

With its zero emissions and compact dimensions, it is designed to work inside buildings, gardens and parks, inner-city construction sites, tunnels and underground.

The machine’s new generation lithium-ion batteries provide eight hours of uninterrupted usage per charge and can be fully charged in three hours using a car charging station. A quick charge option fully recharges the machine in 30 minutes. It can also be charged by a standard domestic electricity supply.

The Hicon 7 W interacts with its surroundings via a back screen with an optical security sensor. When a person or a vehicle approaches the machine, a warning message appears on the back screen. Additionally, it draws the attention of the person or the vehicle approaching it with a red laser line provided within 5m of the machine. In addition, the speed of the machine is visible on the rear screen.

Ease of operation is improved thanks to an ergonomic joystick layout. All operating functions are within easy reach in the cabin, which has the same ambience of a city car. With safety in mind, the high voltage area where the batteries are located is securely protected behind the machine. All service points are located together to ensure easy serviceability and maximum uptime.
