Roadtec-MTVRoadtec claims its new material transfer vehicle will help optimise

Roadtec is now offering a new tracked material transfer vehicle (MTV) in the shape of its 1105e model.

The machine weighs 21.7tonnes unladen and features power from a Cummins QSB6.7 diesel, rated at 186kW. It meets Tier 4 Final/Stage V emissions requirements.

It is Roadtec’s first tracked MTV, which the firm has developed using proven components and systems from its existing product line together in a new configuration to meet market demand for such a product.

The machine does not have the remixing capability of its stable mate, the Shuttle Buggy, and instead uses the proven chassis of the firm’s wheeled MTV 1100 model. Meanwhile the proven tracked undercarriage system from the firm’s own RP 195e asphalt paver has been married to the MTV 1100 chassis, to deliver this new model variant.

The machine is aimed at markets such as Europe, where there is demand for tracked MTVs. However Roadtec pointed out that the first unit built has actually been sold to a customer in Illinois in the US.
