Schwing Stetter’s S 36 X DirectDrive truck-mounted concrete pump is expected to enable 360° movements on the last boom section.

The company says the DirectDrive eliminates nearly all restrictions at the last two boom knuckles that arise from using hydraulic cylinders. It also removes the need for the classic folding types R, RZ or Z.

DirectDrive allows the operator’s control commands can be translated into movements for the boom to be moved more precisely.

The concept for improved mobility of one or more boom joints was developed by Schwing engineers in St. Stefan, Austria.
