SECMAIR is continues to develop its Synchronous Chipspreader (SC) model which is used mainly to patch roads. This latest version features automated functions, boosting quality of working. The firm says that this offers public works companies better safety for personnel as well as improved quality and accurate working.

The SMART ROAD PATCH technology has been built into a more general concept called E TRAXX. This package offers full traceability for road maintenance and uses artificial intelligence.

The SMART ROAD PATCH system views the road surface with cameras. The machine is fitted with image recognition software that can detect road damage. The image recognition system triggers spraying of surfaces suffering cracking, crazing or other road defects. This allows road faults to be repaired in a single pass, without specific driver training. Operators can also deselect the zones to be treated if required.

Data from the operations is stored in SECMAIR’s data collection module. The data management is then controlled by a data processing and archival specialist, guaranteeing the availability of recovered data, methodical prioritisation and high levels of security.
