Steelwrist launches SQ70/55 quick coupler at bauma 2019
First published at bauma - April 9, 2019
Steelwrist is extending its SQ auto connection quick coupler range with the SQ70/55 in response to the global demand for increased productivity in applications that require quick tool changes.
With the new Steelwrist SQ technology, excavator operators are able to change between tilt rotator, breaker, crusher, shear, pulveriser, grapple, screening bucket, compactor and any other mechanical tool, in a few seconds without leaving the cab.
“Our SQ couplers are based on the Symmetrical Standard (S-type) and are fully compatible with OilQuick’s OQ couplers and brackets,” said Stefan Stockhaus, CEO of Steelwrist. “The outside of the hydraulic coupling is compatible with OilQuick OQ, allowing users to work with work tools already in the field.”
S-type quick couplers are increasingly referred to as “industry standard” thanks to their inherent robustness, compact design and low weight. Steelwrist’s SQ couplers are basically S-type couplers with the addition of hydraulic quick connectors. The front pin lock technology on the SQ couplers increases safety levels without the need for complicated and expensive sensor-based control systems.
