Terex - Kieran HegartyKieran Hegarty, president of Terex Materials Processing, has been talking about the Terex Corporation business segment’s new models and production expansion

Terex Materials Processing is equipping itself to fully capitalise on rising global demand for aggregates processing equipment.

It recently revealed plans for a new £12 million (€13.95 million) manufacturing facility in Derry, Northern Ireland. The new 9,755m² Campsie manufacturing facility will focus on the design, manufacture and development of Terex Ecotec (waste management and recycling) and Terex Conveying Systems (TCS mobile conveying) product lines.

The announcement about the new Derry manufacturing site followed hot on the heels of Terex MP’s announcement that it will expand three of its existing manufacturing facilities: Hosur in India, Coalville in England, and Omagh in Northern Ireland.

Terex MP is showcasing new plant this week including the EvoQuip 290R Cobra impact crusher, said to be ideal for urban-based recycling, demolition and construction material processing applications. The Cobra 290R is said to offer optimal fuel efficiency and performance, ease of use, serviceability and versatility.

A big TCS model introduction is the on-show TF-75L low level feeder, which can take feed material directly from an excavator, grab crane or wheeled loader. The model is said to maximise productivity, enhance efficiency and reduce onsite operational costs.

Speaking this week at the Terex press conference, Kieran Hegarty, president of Terex MP, said that customers will see several other new products from the conveyors side of Terex MP introduced over the next few months.

Hegarty also spoke of the significance of the new OMNI by Terex crusher plant fleet control system, which can be seen this week on a variety of Powerscreen and Terex Finlay crushing and screening plant. The tablet-based system offers operators remote access to multiple machine control systems within a crushing and screening train. It is said to feature a simple, easy-to-use graphic control interface and live-camera views from critical vantage points.

Terex Materials Processing is a business segment within Terex Corporation incorporating the Powerscreen, Terex Finlay, Terex Minerals Processing Systems (Terex MPS), Terex Washing Systems, EvoQuip, Ecotec and Fuchs brands, and Terex Materials Processing (Terex MP).
