Trimble’s new packages for contractors managing site data, at bauma 2019

TRIMBLE-Works Manager-Trimble is showing off WorksManager Software, a cloud-based application that gives extra tools for contractors managing data and technology on construction sites. The firm is also offering the Contractor Works package for use on hand-held devices, which is designed with small contractors in mind.

The WorksManager Software is the latest in the Connected Site portfolio and helps users to increase efficiency and improve productivity.

The package allows users to transfer data such as 3D designs wirelessly from the site office to the construction site. Supervisors and data managers can ensure that digital assets on the site are using the correct design version, and the designs are being used on the correct machine or data collector. This information will be presented on a user-friendly dashboard showing managers an overview of data and assets. Contractors will be able to see their construction technology in the field in real time to help prevent costly mistakes and rework.

Meanwhile the firm is also offering Contractor Works, a novel app that runs on Android and Apple devices. This allows contractors to make bids and estimates on a table or smart phone. They can also send invoices to clients from their own device.

According to Martin Wegener, worldwide product implementation manager for Trimble, “It takes paperwork and turns it digital for managers running small construction companies.”

He added that users can track costs for small projects across earthworks, landscaping, building and time sheeting for example.
