Zoomlion’s all-terrain ATC960 and ATC1000 cranes: built for Europe
First published at bauma - April 10, 2019
Zoomlion’s prototype all-terrain cranes, the ATC960 and its larger sister the ATC1000, are designed in Europe for Europe and will be priced “aggressively”.
The telescopic mobile units on display at bauma 2019 are ready for field tests immediately after the exhibition, according to the company.
The lifting capacity of the ATC960 is 60tonnes and the ATC1000 is 100tonnes. Both are completely designed and produced in Italy for the European market, said David Zenato, project manager at the Italian company CIFA, part of the Zoomlion group.
The two cranes will spearhead Zoomlion’s focus on this section of the European market that European manufacturers have dominated for years. The aim is for a market launch in the second half of 2020, said Zenato.
The ATC has a main boom of 51m extended in six sections, while the ATC100 has a main boom of 57.1m. Both cranes have a 16m, two-section jib.
The ATC 960 has a drive and steering of 6x6x6 and the ATC1000 of 8x6x8. The ATC 960’s engine is a 280kW Stage V unit and that of the 1000 is 340kW Stage V. Both cranes have a maximum speed of 80km/h and are also driveable from the upper cabin with all-axles steering.
