Versatile and productive grading solution by Caterpillar
First published in CONEXPO-CON/AGG Preview News - March 5, 2020

Caterpillar is offering a versatile and productive machine for grading applications in the shape of its new 150 AWD model. The machine benefits from all-wheel drive that assists with traction and manoeuvring, allowing the machine to work in a wider range of applications. An eco mode system helps to boost fuel efficiency by up to 10% without any reduction in productivity. Meanwhile, owning and operating costs have been reduced due to the fitting of new filters as well as machine improvements that allow longer service intervals. The new mastless 3D Cat GRADE control system uses proven technology already installed on other Caterpillar equipment. The GNSS receivers are bolted to the machine, which increases uptime and reduces costs associated with potential receiver, mast or machine damage when using the dual 3D GNSS system. The integrated 3D Cat GRADE will initially be available on the 140,150 and 160 joystick graders.
