Safer compaction with remote control

BOMAG is now offering a safe compaction method for trench working in the shape of its BMP 8500 model. This remote-controlled machine is a versatile, multipurpose compactor that means there is no need for an operator to work in a danger zone inside a trench during reinstatement work. Using the machine allows for safer operations onsite. As with other rollers in the range, the unit benefits from the BOMAG Obstacle Detection system. This gives operators a visual display of the obstruction in addition to an audible warning.

The machine meets emissions requirements for noise as well as exhaust and is said to be quiet in operation. The machine weighs 1.6tonnes and is available with emissions compliant engines of 12.8kW and 14.5kW. Standard drum width is 850mm though a narrow 610mm wide drum is also available if required.
