Kubota S7509 engine to deliver more power in the same-sized package

Kubota Engine America (KEA) has developed an engine that dramatically increases power while essentially retaining the size of previous lower-kilowatt models.
The S7509 provides 223 kW compared with 149 kW from the previous generation. It will be on the market in 2023.
“It’s very compact,” said Carolina Pham, marketing manager for KEA. “The height is the same – it’s just a little bit wider. It will give you the power you need in about the same amount of space.”
The S7509 is a high-power-density, large-displacement industrial diesel engine that will comply with EU Stage V emission regulations.
“Kubota integrates state-of-the-art design to produce high performance and durability in all of our engines and the S7509 will be no exception,” said Tomokazu Matsushita, president of Kubota Engine America.
The compact 7.5litre, 6-cylinder engine operates with low fuel consumption owing to its optimised, direct-injection combustion system. It provides 100% power take-off at the flywheel and fan side, as well as selection of flywheel housing and flywheel for OEM coupling.
The S7509 provides versatility because the exhaust side auxiliary PTO (power take-off) takes up to two hydraulic pumps in addition to the intake side PTO. The engine also features a one-side, easy maintenance and automatic belt tensioner.
