Advanced wheeled loaders developed by Hitachi

Hitachi is now offering improved-performance for its latest ZW310-6 and ZW370-6 wheeled loader models. Tractive effort has been boosted by 30% due to the use of sophisticated drivetrain control software. The company claims that this performance boost will provide huge benefits for digging into the muckpile, climbing slopes, travelling at high speeds over uneven ground or other tasks that require high rimpull output.
Meanwhile, the ZW370-6 and ZW550-6 have an operator-activated Traction Control System (TCS) function. This can be switched on or off as required from the main menu on the cab display. The smaller wheeled loaders in the Hitachi range have the TCS system controlled by a single switch. This can be used in low traction conditions such as on wet ground to minimise tyre spin, extending tyre life. The new software utilises real-time machine data on hydraulic pressures, torque from the diesel and working load. The system then optimises hydraulic power, engine and powertrain delivery to maximise working efficiency and operation.
