Efficient excavators introduced by Liebherr
First published in CONEXPO-CON/AGG Preview News - February 25, 2020
Liebherr’s new Generation 8 crawler excavators benefit from improvements including higher engine power, heavier counterweights for higher bucket capacities and low fuel consumption. The seven model range comprises the R 922, R 924, R 926, R 930, R 934, R 938 and R 945, spanning the 22-45tonne weight classes. Low emission engines ensure that the machines meet the Tier 4 Final requirements, while hydraulic performance is optimised to ensure fuel efficiency.
The new machines have a redesigned boom configuration, which helps boost performance while reducing weight. Other improvements meanwhile boost ergonomics and visibility, making the machines easier to operate.
