First published in CONEXPO-CON/AGG Preview News - February 11, 2020
BOMAG is now offering its latest BT60/4 tamper model for the North American market. The unit meets requirements for noise and exhaust emissions and is said to be safer to use than earlier generation units due to its antivibration handle. This latest variant is said to benefit from a new design approach, with the development team focussing on making machine operation as well as the compaction process safer for customers. The unit competes in the 60kg class and the key feature of the BT 60/4 tamper is its redesigned antivibration handle, which allows the operator to use the unit for longer periods onsite, without discomfort. The ergonomics and controls have also been improved over the earlier model, making it easier to use. Meanwhile running costs have also been lowered, while service intervals have been extended.
