An innovative fleet management solution is now available from Epiroc that is said to allow the firm’s customers to optimise operations. Called My Epiroc, the package is a digital fleet management solution available on web and mobile devices. The tool comes with an array of features that the firm says can help increase fleet efficiency and safety. My Epiroc platform allows infrastructure operations to optimise fleet performance.

The system can be used regardless of role, by a fleet manager focusing on uptime, a machine operator, or a member of the service team. The tool is mobile and works on the road, in the office or in a vehicle.

The initial focus is mapping of parts consumption and performance for improvement of running cost and total cost of ownership. The task is to understand the conditions, consider the strategy, develop plans and drive efficiency. The cost and efficiency target for most operations is to achieve reliability and performance. This agreement is designed to analyse the entire performance from running cost to total cost of ownership. This collates information about an operation and maintenance information, develops strategies for maintenance plans and targets and develops a new approach. Subsequently, there is a review of achievements, with advice for further improvements.

The agreement gives guidance to develop more efficient operations. Reliability-centered maintenance takes this a step further by combining monitoring, inspections, maintenance tasks and overhauls.
