High productivity is a key feature of the HS 8200 duty cycle crawler crane from Liebherr. The machine is based on the proven HS 895 HD, but offers increased performance. The design is also said to combine safety, performance and economy, as well as operator comfort.
The HS 8200 is aimed at the 200tonne class and benefits from a new drive system that helps to boost efficiency by 15%. Load capacities are also increased by up to 15%.
The new crane suits extraction work and can be configured to use a dragline bucket as well as a grab. The firm says that its new HS 8200 is versatile as it can be used too for deep foundation purposes in dynamic soil compaction applications. It can also be fitted with a casing oscillator or fixed leader. Meanwhile a range of counterweight options allow the crane to be utilised in lifting operations.
