Indeco-155 5-7-1 lo resLightweight tools help smaller contractors carry out specialist demolition tasks

Indeco has launched two new lightweight attachments aimed at smaller contractors: the ISS 5/7 shear and the HP 80 FS hammer.

The ISS 5/7 is a smaller hydraulic demolition shear, designed for improved manoeuvrability and productivity. At 1.7m long with a jaw width of 340mm, the attachment weighs in at 481kg.

“We believe it will allow some smaller-demographic contractors to do their own light demolition and scrap recycling work that would normally be hired out to a specialist contractor,” says Ryan Murphy, Indeco North America’s director of marketing.

“Demolition is becoming more and more small scale, either on interior jobs or in city centres where there are restrictions on the size of equipment that can be used.”

The HP 800 FS hammer, for 3.5tonne to 5.5tonne excavators, delivers 1,085Nm per blow at between 780 and 1,720 blows per minute. The hammer, which is enabled for automatic on-board greasing, could be used for applications such as bridge demolition or street works.
