A new asphalt compactor featuring oscillation is being added to the Dynapac product range. The new CO5200 VI is a double-drum asphalt roller with oscillation that is said to provide 100% ground contact and limit the risk of damage to nearby structures from heavy vibration. The CO5200 VI is equipped with a 1950mm oscillation drum made of Hardox 450 steel that is highly wear-resistant and carries a seven-year, 7500-hour drum shell warranty. The machine shares many technical features with Dynapac’s CO4200 VI model.

Like existing asphalt compactors with oscillation, the new CO5200 VI model can be used for applications such as bridge decks, foundations and around concrete structures, as well as on thin asphalt layers. According to Dynapac, the drive belts on its oscillation type machines are easy to access. This allows service work to be carried out onsite in less than two hours as opposed to transporting the machine to a shop for multiple days of maintenance.
