Smart systems for drilling and breaking equipment

Sandvik is offering smart technology systems for use with its drilling and breaking products, which help boost uptime and reduce running costs.
Sandvik’s Rammer hammer brand is introducing the purpose-developed RD3 remote monitoring device. RD3 uses the MyFleet Telematics service to track and monitor fleet equipment usage without needing to go to site to collect the data. The firm says that the system suits sue with dealers, rental companies and operators.
Meanwhile Sandvik Parts & Services is offering solutions to boost a machine’s value, reliability and productivity during its working life. A key focus area is to facilitate progress from preventive maintenance to predictive maintenance strategies. New digital services include the Remote Monitoring Services and Expertise-On-Site tools. A new My Sandvik 2.0 platform will continue to develop digital services to improve lifecycle cost, uptime and equipment reliability.
