Soilmec’s new SR-75 piling rig is the first in the firm’s new Blue Tech range. The machine has been redesigned to make it more efficient, reduce fuel consumption and lower emissions. The new design saves fuel and time during the working cycle up to about 10litres of fuel/hour. The electrical hydraulic systems have been upgraded, with new technology for the former and simpler components for the latter.

The machine has proportional controls and new hydraulic components for improved response and smoother performance during working operations. Higher forces and speed are offered for the crowd system, while there is now increased rated torque on the rotary head of up to 281 kNm. The machine also benefits from a new heavy duty main winch, allowing the SR-75 Blue Tech high performance in tough conditions.

The SR-75 Blue Tech is said to benefit from cutting edge technologies. The DMS 4.0 with a simple navigation menu and intuitive interactive graphics help the operator in day-to-day drilling planning and execution. New functions, most of them are automatic, help the user minimise downtime and maximise productivity. The rig is now easier to set up and functions can be made ready for use from the cab. Easy and quick conversion kits and packages allow the customer to adapt the SR-75 Blue Tech for different applications. A range of options are available to broaden the capabilities of the SR-75 Blue Tech, giving it the versatility for a wide array of piling and soil consolidation techniques.
